- Unit A: ~380,000 miles on last rebuild. Clean compression. Injectors recently replaced. - Unit B: Unknown history. Turns over, holds oil pressure. Sold as-is for rebuilders. - Unit C: Low-hour unit, pulled from a shop program. Most complete of the three.
Fit notes
The 16-645E3 is the prime mover used in the SD40-2, GP40, and related second-generation EMD power. These units are a direct replacement in those hosts and can also be installed in industrial and marine applications with appropriate engineering.
